adulthood

molly here.

so, yesterday was an eventful day... it was my 21st birthday! and although my whole family was in disney world and i was stuck at school, it ended up being fantastic.

you see it all started monday when i had a bad day. see i have to confess every year a day or two before my birthday i have a little breakdown, maybe because i still see my self as not wanting to grow up and still wanting to be able to run home to mommy and daddy whenever i want to. but this was a big birthday. i am officially considered an adult after yesterday, but that doesn't mean i have to act like one quite yet :) so on tuesday i went to dinner with lacey at our favorite place, chucks...it was ladies night so we couldn't pass it up. and when i got home courtney, kayla, crockett and me went out on the town... because at midnight i was going to be legal! best part is courtney got me a little birthday crown that said "21..wheres the bar" bad news i tell you. haha..so i walk into innisfree aka "the bar" and my whole group of italy friends were there! it was so much fun and the rest of the night..i mean you just had to be there to understand :)

the next morning i woke up bright and early and so excited that the day was all about me! first things first...check facebook and found the best birthday video i have ever seen. check it out:
my family is so cool. then i got a call from lacey telling me she was coming over to bring me something. little did i know my family had called her to ask her to paint me one of her gorgeous paintings...it turned out amazing and this will be something that i will keep forever. and of course the flower queen made me this extravagant flower bouquet too...i just love her so much.

for my one class that i had to go to yesterday he let us go sit out on the quad and draw for 3 hours and i am so thankful God blessed me with the most beautiful day yesterday...because that was the best three hours...drawing, listening to john mayer and death cab, and talking about life, fashion, music and photography with emma...perfect. also i must add that during these three hours there was some guy running around in a huge bunny costume that i seriously could not stop laughing at. people are so random and hilarious sometimes.

dinner at iguana grill followed. kayla had asked me to go with her before church just as a little birthday dinner and when i showed up all of my closest friends were there...so awesome. the owner of the restaurant came up to me and told me that my dad had covered everyones meal(i wanted to cry) and my cake was a picture of me and joe jonas. omj the coolest cake i have ever had! remember just because i am 21 doesn't mean i have to act like an adult.

my family had been contacting lacey and kayla weeks before to plan my big day. so when i thought my fam was sketching out on me for my birthday...they were really behind the whole thing :) i am so blessed to have the most wonderful friends and family.

age 21. i wouldn't change for anything.
